Today’s Pigskin Week 4 fantasy football rankings

First things first.

When I said to “never trust Trevor Siemian” last week, I meant that he was going to gash a good Bengals defense in Cincinnati.

And when I said, “it’s doubtful LeGarrette Blount will match his previous week’s totals” against a good Texans defense, I meant the opposite.

But hey, I touted DeMarco Murray and had T.Y. Hilton ranked higher than most, but maybe more importantly, I told everyone to show some respect for Adam Humphries, who finished with nine catches for 100 yards.

I don’t know, I think I’m pretty smart…

Week 4 brings us something new; mainly back-to-back AFC South games when the Colts and Jaguars kick things off Sunday morning in London, with the Titans and Texans following that. Exciting, right? Yes, in a fantasy sense.

The Colts and Jaguars game should be set for a decent amount of points, as long as Blake Bortles can figure things out, then Lamar Miller will undoubtedly be a top running back against the Titans. Actually, he is my top running back.

Matthew Stafford should be a top choice again against the lowly Bears, and I’m going to bet that the Raiders will be super tired for yet another game out east. Their travel schedule in one week will be going to Tennessee, back to Oakland and then to Baltimore for a 1 p.m. ET game.

I don’t hype Joe Flacco much, but this is a perfect spot for him, Dennis Pitta and whoever else he wants to throw to. Oh, Steve Smith (Sr.) still plays? Yeah, him too.

Arizona is back at home following a loss, which ultimately means Bruce Arians is pissed and this could be an ugly game for the Rams. And if you watched All or Nothing, then you know the Cardinals hate the Rams. I wouldn’t be surprised at another 40-7 type game (a la Week 2 win over the Bucs) in this one.

A lot of people will also be looking at the Saints and Chargers game for fantasy gold. For one, there’s no way the Saints defense will be ready coming off a Monday Night shellacking and then traveling to San Diego. The hope is that Philip Rivers finds the end zone this week, which seems like an automatic against this secondary.

And once the home team goes up by a couple touchdowns, it’s inevitable Drew Brees will air it out against a Chargers defense that picked up an injury every other play against the Colts last weekend. If you want a daily fantasy quarterback, Brees may be headed for 400 yards again.

I’m not saying I trust Brees on the road, I’m saying the Chargers can be beat in the second half. The Colts and Chiefs know that all too well.

Let’s see where the rest of the quarterbacks rank…
